What would someone need to do to elevate their relationship with you from last-name-basis to first-name-basis?
I had professors call me 'Mr.' and some hotel staff and such but I'm just Sean to everybody, there is no elevation in that way, the only elevation is 'do I answer the door when you knock' THAT is the test, friends
