I agree! I find it sooo fascinating. I mean, I just love some specific "old" literature stuff, mostly Ancient Greek and Latin Literature, but I was amazed to discover that translations were a thing also during Medieval Age/Renaissance! I didn't expect to see Italy and Great Britain being so connected in that specific period, but actually it makes sense. If I'm not wrong The Cantebury tales was inspired by Bocciaccio's Decameron, but sadly I haven't studied Chaucer in High School.

Still, it's always beautiful seeing how even centuries ago such countries had connections regarding literature stuff, like... it's a beautiful thing in my opinion ^^
