hi! please pardon me for abruptly contacting you. i’ve been curious about the relationship between artists like you and niji vtubers- did you ever get (fairly, in your opinion) monetarily compensated for making art for thumbnails for their streams, or was that considered fanart that they used for free?
Hi~ It's alright, I can answer easily - fanartists who make thumbnails, assets or art that's used later do that out of their own will and don't get paid. Ofc vtubers can commission those artists eventually, but as far as I know they can't even contact artists via DMs, so it's probably controlled by the company.
