hello!! i love your art and i was wondering if there's a certain canvas size you tend to use? i have such a hard time figuring out whats too big/too small sjfhsk (especially with posting online and keeping the quality intact lol)
Ah, I might not be the best guide for this because I'm positive my resolution gets crunchified when I post lol BUT I will still share my typical canvas size which is 4000x4000 w/350 dpi (since the brushes I used in CSP recommend it)
From there, I crop it down depending on how much canvas I use (I just like having an open field to draw on) BUT I do try to remain above 2000px on either side! I think most websites prefer staying at a resolution that is 1920x1080 max so being mindful of that ratio could help keep your piece intact too!
Hope this helps :]
Would it be okay to use your art for pfps? I’m insane about it /pos 🎉
hi! just wanted to say that i love your art so much! your style is so pretty and i love the colors you use! every time i see your art it makes me want to draw something too! ^_^
your art is so beautiful 🥹🥹 what brushes do you use
Ahhh thank you! <3 For my recent pieces, it has been the following two from CSP:
1923330 (Mostly Pencil RS) → For sketch/lineart/flat colors
CSP Default Gouche brush → For painting/rendering
I have a few pen brushes I also use for smaller details and random moments but I think those two above are the ones I use the most lately o7
If you also wanna know how I get the grainy effect in most of my works, I just slap on a perlin noise layer and put it in soft light while also lowering the opacity to 20-30%! :0
Hi! Is it too late to join the OMB collab? Do I need to join the discord? Thanks!
Oh!! Sorry for the late reply! You can still join the OBM collab, it's open till late December so you have plenty of time!
As for the discord server, you can join if you want to! I mostly opened a server cause it was an easier way to communicate with y'all for this collab and we can share wips and such!! So it's not mandatory, hope that helps :]
On the OBEY ME collaboration with the given template that you provided do we use that template to draw inside the post frame OR create a canvas with the given measurements and you will be the one to add it into the template?
You're supposed to draw inside the post frame! If you look at the template, the transparent area is basically where you will align your piece (Think of it like a photocard sleeve if that helps!) The measurements were only mentioned so people didn't alter too much of the resolution when I make a separate post with everyone's pieces!
So you can draw inside the post frame or you can make a separate layer underneath the frame and draw there, keeping in mind what's going to be being covered or not by the template! (Whatever works really!) Your submission must include your piece with the template already merged as well
Hope this clarifies it but if not, I will be happy to show you an example! o7
hiya Sal! for writing for the collab, would we use the same template as artists?
Do you do commissions? If so ma ask where?
Oh whoops, must have missed the notification for this! Commissions are closed rn cause school got a little bit hefty but you can view my sheets in my carrd to get an idea about price and style (https://humbuns.carrd.co/#comms)
I have a waitlist atm but considering the amt in there, I wanna prioritize reducing it before opening slots again too :0c
Sorry and thanks for the interest!
Can I have mixed flowers for my submission :0
I had a specific question regarding the project, if you don't mind! On our busts of Malleus, where exactly would you see the "cut-off" for said bust? Right now, my current sketch has his whole upper body/top of hips, but to my knowledge, busts are generally shorter... Would I need to trim it shorter, or would that still be fine, since it's mostly his upper body in shot? Thank you in advance, T~T
Mhmmm if it's reaching close to his hips that might be taking it too far for it to be consider a bust anymore by definition, but my first insticnt is telling me that it depends on the pose you decided to go with? 🤔
I have a few submissions where their Mal is drawn to his elbows (which is near the hips) and it doesn't really affects how it looks with the other submissions I gotten that are, by definition, a bust so! I'll give you two options:
Hope this helps!
Are we allowed to draw malleus with personalized headcanons ( like piercings or stuff like that) or stick to his canon design 100%?
Hi! Question abt the malleus BD Collab, do we have to submit just the drawing or already put in the frame border you provided and then submit it? ^^
