Something i’ve noticed in the divide between jinghengjing and renheng fandom that might contribute to all the differences of opinion is that each side tends to have an overwhelmingly different opinion on dan heng’s identity and personal choice. Renheng shippers seem to lean more towards dan feng bias, while jinghengjing shippers lean towards dan heng bias. Shipping both myself, i’m inclined towards the latter. Dan heng made his stance on his identity very clear and being transmasc, that hits home for me.

I KNOW we are all laughing about Dan Heng calling Jing Yuan for every minor thing in the world but REAL TALK imagine the dread Jing Yuan feels when he feels its call and he KNOWS the astral express is in danger but he has no idea to what extent or anything, he just KNOWS they’re in danger, including his precious person. Imagine all the scenarios building in his head while having to keep a logical mindset of what’s the next course of action and how to help them.
