huh i think i have aeventi notes with pretty much every trope i enjoy,,, my guilty pleasure though

mutual pining with unresolved tension + hidden feelings, where one of the characters/two characters cherish each other and don't expect anything in return because they think they're not good enough/not worthy of love/have never been loved before

extra points if one of the characters is so used to this mindset that they act like it's not a big deal and laught it off instead of being openly sad

extra extra points if the other character is heartbroken to see it and gets to fix this + makes sure they feel loved (bonus: makes them cry from feeling loved)

It's so hhhhhhhhhhh and with aeventi. oh boi this with aeventi please

[confused sounds] i'm gonna assume the first move means romance and the adventure is aeventi being travel partners hjfhjf ask me again if you meant something else

i'd like to think that Aether would be the one to make the first move because Venti seems like a very "love them, help them, guide them and let them go" kind of person to me. Aether has to let Venti know that whatever happens between them is Aether's own choice, and he decides to love Venti. I like some classic "Aether protects Venti during the ambush/the adventure" with Venti being surprised about it (just look at his expression when Aether protected him from the fatui in the quest!). Worried Aether + Venti being quiet and solemn because he hears prayers for protection all the time, yet no one ever really tried to protect him the way Aether did (salute to Luna's healing Venti's injuries asmr)

But then again- we have Venti making the first move in canon. The first Windblume festival!! The poem!! It was basically a confession, don't you think? He's not being very subtle but I love how he's so open about his fondness and still leaves the ball in Aether's court, it's up to Aether to decide what to do next (if he wants to), he's dear to Venti no matter what :>
If we're speaking adventure specifically, I think Venti's way of doing "the first move" is joining Aether in his travels hfhjf

I've always loved Aether and Venti, I just didn't think about the ship hjfhjf Aether was the Traveler on the account I lost (ironically, shortly after meeting Venti). My friends teased me for liking Aether and made me choose Lumine for my second account. Venlumi was lovely but I could tell it wasn't wholeheartedly my thing? So I moved on, trying different ships but never liking them enough. Then someone brought Gi's aeventi to my tl and [sounds of falling down the stairs] aeventi. Went to look for more, loved every art under the tag and started reading fics. They got me out of the writing block. Ta-daa. It's been 2 years?

!! Aeventi has my fav trope of "the person who comforts everyone gets comforted back", and with them it goes both ways!! It was very important for Aether to meet Venti at the start of his journey because he's also a free-spirited Traveler who experienced loss, and Aether needed the gentle reminder to keep his heart open for the world, that the journey itself has meaning. Venti has always been so comforting and encouraging, he was one of the first characters to truly care about Aether.

And Aether understands and comforts Venti, too!! Like, "you're so smart it almost makes me uncomfortable sometimes... But then, maybe it's right that true friends can tell what the other is thinking"!! And he talks about Venti when Venti isn't even around!! And the teasing!! The flirting!! The Windblume poem!! Wdym Venti cradled the weary Traveler in his embrace as Aether slept-

They're sweet, gentle with each other but both can be chaotic menaces. Aeventi is pretty much the epitome of what I imagine love should be, it's selfless love on both sides, acceptence + respecting the freedom of your partner + comfort and trust + honestly they just have so much fun together even though they're both immortal travelers and had been through a lot?

Venti's wish is literally to travel and experience the whole world with Aether. pls. pls-
"It has always been to roam free and experience the whole world. Now I would add that wherever I go, it simply must be with you!"

Their aesthethic/vibe is also chef's kiss. Stars, flowers, music? Warrior + poet? Teal + gold? Black + white? yes pls
