Two answers! The original was that writing stories was much easier than drawing them. I wrote constantly when I was a teen, but then my at-the-time hyperfocus ended, and I slowed down for many years.

Skip to 2022. Reimob was, at the time I was joining the party, much rarer compared to mobrei. I'd lurked as a fan for about a year so I was well aware of the preference divide, but I had a "...I wrote that one fic. I could try to publish it" -moment. "Maybe there's people like me that want reimob. Maybe folks will like it more if there IS more."
Of course, I was terrified and prepared to bolt in case people laughed me out of the room, but everyone was nice to me.

The inspiration to start writing again was that I decided to make the food I'd wanted to eat, and other people actually enjoyed it, so I got confident to keep going. Thanks, everyone💙
