(inspired by Wasserpistole) Is it harder to compose good music that's easy to play, than it is to compose good music that's hard to play?

I think having to work inside constraints makes good music even more impressive.

only example that comes to mind is early VG music, nowadays big productions just slap an orchestrated score onto their game, fine by itself but working within the limits of a game console's sound hardware took more creativity.
