HONESTLY good question, I'm not sure!! I think my favs are the Skyrim vampires, I get a lot of inspiration from that quest line!

Do you get the classic vampire drip once you turn? Like you wake up with it? Or do you have to very embarrassingly go to hot topic and buy it
Every new vampire is sentenced to 1 hour in a hot topic. BUT legitimately how this works in my lore is fledgelings usually live with their sires, who already have rather fancy options for them to dress in, should they choose!

What is the year of your setting? Also what films or tv shows would be circulating the vampire crowd?
My story takes place in the early-ish 2000's, lots of 90s stuff is still in circulation around my guys! Most vampires are technophobes but a few of them appreciate mortal entertainment. Everett for example is a big rom com guy

What are the most essential vampire powers in your opinion?
Sunlight immunity is definitely one of my favorites for my guys, that or transformation stuff me thinks!

In your lore, do vampires originate from a single common ancestor? Or are there alternative ways of becoming a vampire outside of contact with another vampire (rituals, curses, etc)
The first three vampires in my lore were cursed with vampirism, and every vampires has some connection to them- different lineages have different traits! But the only way to become a vampire is to be turned by an existing vampire
