In your lore, do vampires originate from a single common ancestor? Or are there alternative ways of becoming a vampire outside of contact with another vampire (rituals, curses, etc)
The first three vampires in my lore were cursed with vampirism, and every vampires has some connection to them- different lineages have different traits! But the only way to become a vampire is to be turned by an existing vampire
