I really need Dazai to have a heat/fire induced panic attack. A candle gets knocked over on his sleeve or something and suddenly he's seventeen again trapped under that house, he can't tell if it's his own body or the room that's getting hotter. The small flame has long been put out but his eyes are clouded from the smoke from that night. Every brush from his clothes sends striking phantom pains throughout his healed scars.
All while Chuuya tries his best to help but how can he when his own curse is what plagues his lover?

Ohhh, I love this!!! Oh do let me steal this for the fic, it’s so lovely! Not for Dazai though… him being afraid of fire going out of control is perfect! It’s been years, but be still remembers the pain, not from the fire, but from the healing process.
I’m thinking maybe Dazai and Chuuya are having dinner in the castle, a few chapters ahead, and Chuuya knocks a candle over because Dazai has been trying to seduce him all night (not that he needs to at this point). The candle rolls over and Dazai just freaks out, fear overwhelming him. Chuuya doesn’t even know what to do at first because fire doesn’t hurt him; but it’s so deadly to humans, and now he is forced to watch the results of what he’s been doing. What he did to Dazai, even if indirectly.
Chuuya manages to calm Dazai down, though, but when he tires to hug him, Dazai pushes him away, suddenly remembering what it was that took away his skin.
Omg now I’m sad oh god, CANCEL THAT, Chuuya hugs him and everything is fine and they cuddle and make passionate love all night long because Dazai needs a distraction from his fear, so he just spends the night moaning under Chuuya)))
