what's your take on death?
We cannot undo death, we cannot outrun death, without death, there is no life. Without life, there is no death. We will all die one day, me, you, our friends, our family, everyone. Some die before others, some die before we think. We're all going to die. We cannot change the fact we will die, we can try to change how we'll die, but not when. And when we die, we will soon be forgotten. We could die a second from now, a day from now, a week from now, a month from now, a year from now, 10 years from now. And none of that will matter in the end, nothing that we do will matter in the end. We will die. We cannot change the fact we will die. What you did with your life may matter to you, but in the end, no one will remember it. We will one day forget who people like Rosa parks, we'll forget what she did, and why. We'll forget those who died during 9/11. We'll forget our history. In 100 years, people like Maria Carrie won't matter, she won't be known for singing a hit Christmas song, and Gerard Way won't be remembered for being the lead singer of My Chemical Romance, nothing we do matters after we die. We're born, we live, we die. Our legacy will die, everything dies. What you do during your life can change tomorrow, but you won't be remembered for doing so.
And in the end, itβs not the years in your life that count. Itβs the life in your years. -Ralph Waldo Emerson
I am not eternal, but a human being; a part of the whole, as an hour is of the day. Like an hour I must come and, like an hour, pass away. β Epictetus
βYou could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say and think." - Marcus Aurelius
