Is very supporting and advocating of my own autonomy and independence. It is very important to me as a disabled person that I am respected in that way and supported. Especially after leaving a living situation with an overbearing and controlling parent. I have discovered I can do and handle things I never thought I could before because I was never allowed to and actively discouraged from even trying. Relearning my limits is hard but very worth it, and my partner encourages me and is always there to catch me in case I fall.
