When did Cin first get his trusty slingshot? Does he go through them often or does he keep them around for long periods of time?
Cin's slingshot was a gift from Papa Pig for his tenth birthday! He'd always send cool little trinkets and toys back home, but to Cin, this was the coolest. Cin used it to scare off seagulls and giant crabs when he was working on fishing boats, and he'd occasionally load it with mudballs and pester visiting soldiers.
It didn't always have the spike at the end; Cin's grandma added that when he went to visit her before he set out on his grand adventure. Aside from its obvious uses, it comes in real handy when shucking clams, and when carving good-luck sigils into his ship's mast every time he sets sail.
Cin takes real good care of his slingshots. Every couple of weeks, the band needs to be replaced, and the pouch occasionally needs repairs. But, for the most part, Cin intends on keeping his slingshots for life! He has a collection of six right now; four of them are mundane, but two are magical weapons he found during his questing. One is a metallic tuning fork; it turns into a proper slingshot when it's held, and fires little balls of light that make funny sounds as they leave the 'pouch'. Even when blocked or deflected, these projectiles still deal a little damage! The other is an ivory slingshot, apparently made from the wishbone of a cockatrice. It can't turn enemies to stone, but it does daze them when it hits hard enough. There's scrimshaw all over the handle that tells a story (presumably about the cockatrice), but nobody's been able to decipher the writing yet!
