Try not to make their personalities the same or similar to another

Like when I make an OC, I want them to be unique, not just in design, but in personality too. Because if I make a Rival or Travel companion, I accidentally make them close to my OC's chaotic personality and Then I have to start over from scratch to make sure each character is unique and different, but corresponds well to my other OC's personalities
