I learned a little about the comic, which sounds genuinely garbage, so it's kinda interesting to pick out what they change and what they keep. Like Homelander is just a different character. The show added a lot of celebrity critique and criticism of the tactics of Democrats, on top of all the obvious stuff about Republicans being literally impossible to parody. But it seems to have kept the part where everyone you don't like turns out to be into weird sex stuff. Like I get that it's a shock value show but it just ends up seeming regressive in a way that feel hypocritical.
