i think i experience media in the shallow, shitty way that leads to a password recommendation. i get distracted by shinies and can’t keep plot threads straight long enough to spot inconsistencies. do you have any advice for how i can stop being such a dingus and actually absorb info in a deeper way

Experience a lot of media. Ask yourself about intent: what is a story doing? What is the purpose of each character? And for a deeper understanding, revisit stories instead of just reading them once and throwing them away.
