Was friends with this person since middle school. I was flaky when it came to returning phone calls, but she was persistent and our friendship continued. After college and after we both got married, I got much better at doing my part in keeping in contact. Anyway, after the pandemic hit, my messages went unreturned for months. I’m not one to judge a person if they don’t return my messages for a long time. But when it was her birthday and I sent her gifts through Amazon, with a note saying I missed her and hope all was well, she messaged back a few days after the packages were delivered saying thank you and that she didn’t know I tried to get into contact with her. Claimed her phone was acting “weird” and the people who truly cared for her contacted her through her husband. That sooo put me off. Came so insincere and accusatory. F that shit.
She and her husband are apparently trump lovers and I’m obviously not, and I truly believe she stopped responding to me because he told her not to. I don’t mind if your life is busy and you don’t have time to respond to texts, but once you lie to me, I’m out. Lates.
