Researchers offered people a choice: sit alone in a room with nothing (no books/devices/etc.) or get an electric shock - 67% of men and 25% of women chose the shock, what would you choose? Also feel free to speculate about the reason for this difference between men and women
I guess an electric shocks is sth quicker. You just get it and you're done. Sitting alone in a room..I'd wonder for how long? Most of people aren't good at being alone for long time. They don't feel comfortable with the only company of themselves. Plus, i don't think the idea of not having anything to do to distract your mind meanwhile is very tempting tbh.. I'm a masochist. I'd choose the former
