hi dimi! this might be a bit of a personal question, but how did you come to realize that you had autism? what was the diagnosis like? i suspect myself of having it and i wondered about getting diagnosed but it sounds so intimidating, sort of like a final nail in the coffin or something, but i also imagine that getting a confirmation would be a step forward in helping myself even if it's scary. if you're uncomfortable with sharing, please, don't feel pressured to do so and feel free to delete this ask altogether, i completely understand. 🙏 i hope you're having a lovely summer break. 🥹
Hello anon. Thank you for reaching out! I have no problem at all sharing what it was like for me to get my diagnosis or anything like that, but Retrospring is perhaps not the right forum for it. If you would be comfortable DMing me, or adding me on discord I'm more than willing to talk about this with you. I'm DimitriBlaidaddy there. If not, I understand, and I wish you all the luck. Going through the process of getting a diagnosis might be scary, and it might be tough, but I'd say that in the end, it's worth it. I'm more true to myself now than I have ever been, and am getting to know myself in a way I didn't think was possible.
