im really interested in participating in this zine as an artist! but its my first time applying for one, and im a little creeped out by the need for my email address- may i ask why this is necessary? can i apply if i'm not comfortable sharing that information, especially since it already asks for my SNS and discord? thank you!
Hi there! Let us preface that all information given to us during this contributor application period will be kept strictly confidential, and won't be shared with others beyond the moderating team.
Emails are the most convenient way to send the results of application to all applicants compared to individual DMs on various social media platforms, hence the collection of emails. We ask for your SNS to ensure we have a secondary way of communicating to applicants should there have been no response to our emails. We will be rejecting applicants who apply without emails, as we will be sending results through email only. We seek your understanding in this matter.
We apologise for collecting discords so far, the mod team has realised it was unnecessary and will be removing it from the forms. Thank you for your question 🧡
