you specifically said the mind link isnt automatically romantic in nature- are vash and meryl a couple in this au, or just platonic soul mates?
I'ma be honest, I'm not 100% sure how to define their relationship in this AU LOL Meryl has been a little in love with him her whole life, but Vash is aro/ace-spec and I'm still working out what his feelings for her are. I do think they lean more romance, but as kids/teens, it's pretty platonic.
