in royalty au, if Vash and Meryl are a couple, how old were they when they realised their feelings for the other?

Meryl was probably like ten or so?? Whenever it is that kids start developing crushes. It made her angry though, and she bit him, and he was like ?!?!?!? WHY

Meryl has tried REALLY hard to hide her crush on him from him despite their link, but I think Vash has always suspected it.
