is anyone gonna tell megumi that the beefy firefighter with pink hair is into him or???
Oh, he knows. And the beefy firefighter with pink hair KNOWS he knows. 😌 — Yuji, EMT
Have you guys ever had a rough night, where you just gave up and challenged the ems gods like the person in this video: https://youtube.com/shorts/2lFX7VAk878?si=Nsy1UXXDfF2Xc2I8 and who did the screaming?
Many times. Especially the late nights. The worst part is when you come back from a messy call, get the bodily fluids cleaned up off of you, and you lay down and are JUST getting ready to fall asleep.
And then the tones drop, and you have a moment of silence for the sleep you could’ve had. We scream to the EMS gods when we get the cool calls though, like structure fires! — Ino, firefighter
Have you guys ever had an ambulance stolen? And what would people's reactions to the thief stealing it be? 👀
Our newer crew members haven’t experienced this, but I’ve had my fair share of ambulances stolen. Especially when I worked for a bigger city.
If you wanna steal my ambulance, go for it! I won’t stop you. The one time it got pretty bad was when someone was demanding the code to the safe and threatening our safety. We broke it to him that we didn’t have any drugs in the safe, and he took the ambulance anyway. When we reported back to our station, they were able to track the ambulance and arrest the thief.
So point is… we won’t stop you. But it’s not worth it. You won’t get far. — Gojo, paramedic
I just became CPR certified today!! (I really did I’m excited 🤭) Anyways can the green eyed black hair beauty help me practice my mouth to mouth? Don’t want to mess it up! 😊
Congratulations! That’s very exciting. And he said he’d love to help! He said he’ll get the practice dummy set up on the floor for you. 😊 — Kugisaki, EMT
If the station is still looking for a mascot, I can bark!!! But if the charismatic, blonde chief with glasses is a cat person, I can meow too… ((Please don’t let him see this))
In all seriousness, would it be okay to drop off baked goods for y’all (and does he have any favorites)?
Ohhh, you like our Chief Nanami?!?!
YES drop off baked goods please! We’re hungry. He likes sourdough bread. He might ask you how you made it and want to hear your sourdough starter (I speak from experience).
I prefer cookies. — Ino, firefighter
That blue haired boy. Kashimo I think. He single? He looks a little dumb and I like my men a little dumb. What’s his type?
His type is anyone who looks at him longer than 3 seconds. Remember when we said we don’t have pets?
We lied. We have him.
But we’ll let you take him out Tuesday and Thursday nights, and one weekend a month. — Ino, firefighter
I see a lot of team spirit among the firefighters and medics but who is watching out for your dispatcher? How do you take care of him when he has to process a difficult call or listen to someone being in danger?
This was a super sweet question and I really appreciate it. Even for myself, it can be easy to forget my own mental health. But no worries, my team takes care of me.
When I get emergency dispatches, they’re usually from the Shinagawa dispatch center. So I’m speaking to other dispatchers, unless someone calls our non-emergency line.
Even then, just knowing what the calls are for can take a toll on your mindset, especially when you can only help from afar.
Usually after calls, the crews gather in the watch room to talk about anything funny or cool that happened at the call. We all enjoy those calls for one another. If we had a particularly heated call, we make sure to check on one another after— it can be easy to snap when you both feel helpless in different ways.
And Chief Yaga and Chief Nanami have my back, too. They listen in on calls and check in on me while the crews are out.
I’ve heard about other dispatchers’ experiences, and I can thankfully say I have it pretty good when it comes to my team. — Inumaki, dispatcher
This is more a general question for if anyone has an admirer like the mee-mah mentioned in this video: https://youtube.com/shorts/l_GTUBiYVVw?si=vRss3FttQzqBdw_O?
OHHH, DO WE HAVE ADMIRERS! Many many many. There’s one lady (we love you don’t worry) who always calls us just to chat, feed her cat, and get her phone charger. Pretty sure she just wants to flirt with Gojo.
There’s also a woman who always calls and says she’s fallen, but when we get there she’s perfectly fine. We think she’s figured out Sukuna’s schedule.
Megumi had a little admirer the other day during a night call, but the guy was being a little too bold. So we let Megumi give us instructions from afar while we loaded the guy up for the hospital. — Ino, firefighter
Hello, I might have a mild case of heat stroke. Can I stay at the station for a little bit and recover?
We’re not really in a place to know whether it’s mild or not, but if you come to us with a heatstroke, we’d be taking you to the hospital pretty quickly. A heatstroke is a medical emergency that requires immediate treatment. — Riko, EMT
does captain choso have a significant other? he seems so elusive!
I asked. He got all red and walked off. And then Uraume miraculously choked on air.
I hope this helps.
— Sukuna, firefighter
Are Okkotsu and Inumaki big on PDA?
Depends on how needy Inumaki’s feeling. If he’s desperate, they make me hurl. — Maki, firefighter
To the foodies of the crew: what are your favorite meals? What are everyone’s favorite meals? I need to plan next week’s dinners and I got no ideas 😩
I really wouldn’t trust our appetites with your dinner plans. We eat a LOT, and it’s never really food that should go well together.
But we all did collectively agree, we like the little taquitos at the gas station a few miles west. Even the chiefs go crazy for those.
Otherwise, we eat whatever we find. If Kugisaki slices up a watermelon just to have a slice, the rest of the watermelon will disappear the second we find out it’s there.
If Yuji and Megumi cook something together, we’re all gathering at the kitchen door with bowls.
And if Sukuna brings lunch, chances are I’ll steal it.
— Maki, firefighter
Sukuna, would you explain what all of you are doing? I know that some of you are firefighters and you have engineers too but what does that mean in practice?
Well, every station varies. For station 4 though, we have 4 types of firefighters: firefighter, captain, apparatus driver/engineer, and chiefs.
We overlap in a lot of ways, but mainly, a firefighter is the base of the job— actually fighting fires.
All the other positions are branches that build on this training.
Captains know how to lead the team and call the shots. Meaning they make quick decisions so that we can do our job efficiently and keep from getting disorganized during calls.
Engineers hold similar responsibility, but will be under the rule of the captains at calls. At the station? They run the place. They maintain the vehicles, make sure they’re fully stocked and ready for any call, keep track of maintenance schedules and take extensive safety training for both their driving and keeping us safe on the scene.
Because of the amount of training, our engineers are usually the ones who give presentations at schools (aka, they talk about the extensive nerdy stuff).
And chiefs, obviously, run the firehouse. They oversee captains and everyone below, and work hand in hand with our dispatcher.
— Sukuna, firefighter
Why is that guy named Sukuna warding off anyone that wanna get to know Uraume like what is your deal? Stay in your dark hair green eyes lane man!
If he sees this he’ll break our station phone. But just know, this made my day. — Inumaki, dispatcher
a very interested person is curious as to if ino is single, and what his type is 👀 please and thanks
Why yes I AM single. 😌 Funny is my type. Cute. Preferably someone who will have my crawling like a dog for their attention, maybe step on my neck and spit on me.
Just kidding (I’m not). — Ino, firefighter
