uh, sorry, hi again, I didn't want to come off as rude or preachy in my initial ask, but do you plan to fix the error on first storm 2.10....? it's fine if not, I do get it's a nitpick but it feels important to the characters.... like the アイツ in 知らないアイツ doesn't feel like it can be dropped so easily... because it really adds to how personal the line is, and i think thats important,, but im sorry if it seems like im making a big deal out of nothing!! ;; feel free to ignore this ask...
I debated not responding to this but decided to after remembering that a lot of fan translators I know have gotten similar comments. No, your initial ask didn’t come off as rude, but sending this one less than a day after it was answered certainly does.
I work two jobs. I was in meetings for part of the day and spent the rest dealing with insurance and a car dealership as my 2004 vehicle is on its last legs and I can’t work without reliable transportation. Changing a couple of words in a translation that I’m doing for free in my spare time just wasn’t extremely high on my priority list.
I thought that in 2024 people would realize that acting entitled to receive something that is provided without cost and simply for the love of the source material would be a given, and I’m sad to see that it’s not.
The line is changed now. I changed it last night after finishing all of my real life tasks. Please do not send messages like this to translators (or to artists, to writers, etc.) in the future. Pointing out errors or asking for clarification is fine. Doubling down on it immediately after is not. Thank you.
