Have you played FF7. Will you play FF7. When will you play FF7.
How hard is it to learn drums? And how does one even start? Drumkits look too big and expensive.
Very great question and the answer from me is I’m still learning and I’m not getting very far so most of what I say will be personal experience. And maybe mostly out my ass, sorry. I’ll do my best.
First off I am lucky to have found a place that rents drum rooms in my country, and I did a test run to see if I really wanted to commit to this. Is this interesting enough for me to continue, will I ditch it if I get bored, all these questions answered in a 2 hour rent where I did nothing but bother the others with relentless horrible drumming.
But first,
1) Basic rhythms are relatively easy, think off clapping to the beat, then hitting something with a stick to that beat. 1234, 1234. Then you step on 1 and 3, that’ll be the kick. Right hand 1234,1234. Right leg,
1_3_,1_3_ then you use your left to hit the snare on 3, then you put it all together its really less complicated than I make it sound.
The problem I personally have is my ankle and sense of rhythm one that I had was my non-dominant left kept hitting my right stick, and I cannot separate my foot and hand so I cant do complicated rhythms.
I started with a drum pad and trying to smack it to songs, then when I got the kit I just smacked around however I like. Then I just watched Drummate (youtube) and slowly figured it out. I learned a lot of bad habits because of this so I don’t really recommend it but Idk.
I wanted to learn drums for a long time so I got on carousell, a site that sells secondhand items and I found one that fit my budget (or more like one my mom allowed me to buy) it cost 188 dollars SGD.
I started a part time job and used that money to get it. As for the size I’ll put a photo below. Mine’s an E-kit which is less bulky than traditional drums. Its just in the corner of my living room and I can squeeze it down too.
The thing with buying secondhand is my mom helped me with the moving because it was all the way on the other side of the country, and my country is small so depending where you live, aka anywhere other than this tiny ass island, itll be more difficult for you.
Good luck with everything! Wish I could be more help
What's your opinion on Shiina Taki? Did it change between the first impression and now?
Very long and messy but here we go?My Opinion of Shiina Taki:
I think she’s neat. She’s a really good composer (to me) and she holds a lot of things close to her chest. She opened a little in Breathing Next To You, though my memory of the event is quite shaky, and I hope one day she can feel comfortable just being herself in MyGO!!!!!
She’s doing her best all the time and that still isn’t enough for her, I think that determination and drive is very admirable. The main problem is she never slows down, which is good and bad. Number one we get banger songs but in return Taki’s health suffers.
Her priorities are not normal, which is normal because she’s still in high school. I think she’s going to fail most of her exams.
What I like the most about Shiina Taki, is how much she tries her best for others and very clearly cares with her actions. In ep 9 especially when she argued with TOMORI of all people about keeping Anon and Raana in the band when Soyo was using Anon.
She rarely asks for help as well, which is why asking Umiri to replace Soyo was. Damn. She’s doing the best she can.
TLDR I love Taki and she’s doing her best, I hope she learns to love herself too.
My first impression of Taki was from various sources, oh she loves pandas, she loves Tomori, she has a feud with Anon and is relatively miserable.
The one thing that’s changed is how much I’ve come to love her character, and the way others interact with her.
(written a day after)
I have a much worse understanding of her now (lol) I guess that’s the main difference? I don’t really know. Not much has changed and most of the way I see her come from others, which is fun I get to see wet cat Taki on my TL every few days
Favorite scene(s) from Word Dai Star?
Chisa sense moment honestly, mainly because Im super focusing on her just because of Ricochi.
But legitimately without all that it’d have to be Kokona’s Aladdin after she made full use of the sense, the way she bounces around and lets the “No one is looking at me” and “ No one sees me” become a core is amazing.
Chisa and Panda’s romeo and juliet is also very very strong, in that episode the specific scene would have to be the poison drinking. The way they animate each movement, Romeo’s hesitation and fear of the death, yet he does so for his beloved Romeo.
Shizuka’s and Kathrina’s phantom fully portrayed the madness of Erik, but the way Kokona came in with his yearning for normalcy really surprised me, its a take that I don’t think I’ve seen done before. When Shizuka left I cried my ass off but. The last episode is truly memorable.
I honestly didn’t expect Yae to become a Dai Star, but her Christine was really good, she was pulled into a world by Kokona’s Phantom and got to act the best she could (stolen from her lines in ep 12 lmao) and she’s a silly lil bean I love how everyone loves her.
All in all almost every scene is my favourite scene, though thinking back to the sea stage where Shizuka forces all of her emotions into Kokona while she desperately scream is definitely sitting in my mind. Crying just writing this

From when do you start to watch mygo (or bandori franchise in general)
Bandori I started 3 years back? My memory is a lil hazy on it though, I think it was through my friend who was a huge Afterglow fan, meanwhile I got into Roselia.- then RAS because Pareo’s my bestie
Watching MyGO would be after blue finally got me to watch it because I only watch clips so that’d be Jan this year.
