I just wanted to say thanks for getting me to think critically about the tropes in rpgs and fantasy media, it got me to realise that the one proper game of d&d I've played was straight up an old west-esq colonialist fantasy

Do you own one of those Icelandic lopapeysas? And if so, can you tell me how comfortable are they? I kind of want one, but it's expensive so I don't want to buy something and find out it's a dud.
I do own one, and it's really warm! It's super freaking warm in the cold and gets warmer when wet! However, it is very scratchy. Very very scratchy. You'll itch. Wear an underlay or learn to live with it.

Do you think with the release of Elden Ring and it's intense popularity that we'll see an increase in the bigness of guys in general fantasy media over the next few years, or will they maintain their present levels of size?

Any advice for somebody who wants to start writing TTRPG settings/campaigns/systems?
Don't worry too much about being derivative. Slice your project up: finish one section, do the next. Don't edit while you're writing, and don't worry about format right away - you can always go back and reformat things, and having a strict format right away means if something cool does occur to you, you are less flexible. Don't shoot for full color 400 page tome level of writing. If you lose inspiration, take a break and write something else for a bit. Ask for help on things you don't know that well, whether it's setting detail inspiration or just layout. And have at least some income already, if possible.
