Uncle, are people still very homophobic in Russia? Like would they beat you up on a dark street? Or is it more liberal and you just can't legally marry?

Older folks are more homophobic than younger people, I'd say. The majority is either neutral or anti-LGBT here, but beat up... I guess, if you are in a dark alley after 9 pm, but you don't have to be gay to get this treatment:D
