They have exactly one face-to-face (well sorta, Laz gives him temporary control with the caveat that he’ll forcibly switch if Mik pulls some BS) chat near the very end. In many ways, neither of them are really the same people by that point so Mikhail doesn’t really address it and Almonde can tell so neither does she. Both know they’ll come to a head anyways so they spend it more just catching up. When it’s over, all he asks is to “leave a word for the kid. We owe him that much, Al.” And when Laz later asks him how he felt about it, all Mik says is “Relief. Underneath it all, the girl who cared too much is still there.”
