Visual snow syndrome?

I've heard of visual snow syndrome, but I think it's normal to have static in your vision under some circumstances (such as in the dark, or after a transition from dark to light). It's only a disorder when it becomes difficult to ignore and is accompanied by symptoms like afterimages.

Oh.....I see that depending on what i'm looking at...
