What would her home look like? Is it like a cabin or what type of shelter would hawthorn call home?
The way I envision Hawthorn's home is very similar to a Greek Temple or the Panathenaea, which - I know - doesn't make much sense in a Black Forest setting. The reason is simple: Hawthorn's universe essentially renames Selene - the Moon Goddess in Greek Mythology - to Sarina. Long before Hawthorn's clan came to be, Hawthorn's temple used to belong to Sarina, and the forest used to be pure and holy. However as hatred and darkness grew, the forest turned darker, more malevolent, and drove the Moon Priestesses out. The temple was their last bastion, and was abandoned save for one Priestess - Sarina herself. Seeing that the wood was in need of a guardian, she created Hawthorn through deceiving her mother. Hawthorn inherited the temple as a result. It has a great, huge lake at the front of it, strategically placed mirrors for light to bounce around the rooms to naturally light the way, and Hawthorn has repurposed most of the front hall into a sort of greenhouse. The temple has red stained glass windows, a great, oaken door, and branches into three rooms: the kitchen, a spare room and her bedroom. I hope to get art of it soon!
