i have MANY thoughts about this and i honestly think it's the central conflict of baiheng's character!! so ofc, the nameless want to travel and explore and baiheng got that trailblazing spirit from her parents, but baiheng specifically being a foxian of the yaoqing means that she will feel a very strong duty to dedicate herself to the hunt, living alongside verdant knights who were victims of borisin slavery, so baiheng is surrounded by evidence that she can contribute her flying prowess to do good in the universe, to be a pilot and save people from the borisin and the abundance in general, but then she's faced with a choice; the life of a nameless will never let her contribute to the hunt, but the abundance is committing so many atrocities, how can she let that slide? so i think her allegiance to the hunt and her desire for the trailblaze is what gnaws away at her (remember the hcq were all labelled as outcasts!), and finally once the hcq is formed, she finds people who are also torn in similar directions and are finding comfort in finding others just like her (dan feng being a high elder AND a soldier, yingxing being a prodigal short life craftsman on the long life xianzhou, jy breaking away from his parents' wishes to be a soldier, etc), so i think with the hcq she is able to travel as much as she likes without feeling any obligation or shackled by duty, but also comes back knowing she will always have a place by the side of the hcq, who will never berate her for the two directions her heart soars in.

tldr; i think she follows the hunt more closely, but she clearly also loves trailblazing!! i think she believes in them both equally, but most likely drew actual power from the path of the hunt! however i think that inner conflict powers her conflict as a character, and so i'm totally open to seeing other interpretations of it!!
