i think overall, i'd say i hc him as genderfluid! writing him as afab was more of a 'i would much rather write this and him being amab' thing, i think in terms of storytelling it works better for him to be amab genderfluid and come to realisations about gender as his mental state improves and he allows himself to express himself more authentically, and maybe that would include hrt, it's never something ive considered but it would be very interesting to think more about! i feel like the main reason i like the thought of amab genderfluid jiaoqiu is that you can draw a lot of like 'this shows how much he has healed from his trauma' links with increased gender exploration and alternations in his self expression since it proves he's in a better mental state to even consider those feelings, so overall i'd say i hc him as amab genderfluid but i know there's a fic i wrote where jiaoqiu is afab, and ideas i have where i talk abt jiaoqiu like he's afab. i kinda toss him around in the gender soup pot and see what comes out. but overall i write him afab for my own comfortability. as for sexuality, bi! its the same for feixiao, i just feel like it fits.
