I don't actually know... but a lot of my story ideas come from thinking of subversion of tropes. My hanahaki fic is a good example of this, and so is my otome game fic. A lot of my ideas also come from stories I'd want to read. I read a lot of fic, so I tend to have a good idea of what I like to read and the stories I'd like to see happen. But a lot of my stories are me smashing ideas together, assigning it a vibe, and hoping it lands where I throw it 💜
