"AITA for letting a group of Pokemon brutally take revenge?" Posted by [User Deleted]
Just yesterday, I (20 Male) just recently stopped a group of poachers from kidnapping and abusing a large family of Bug-type Pokemon. During this time of the year, it was the mating season - so certain members were weakened due to giving birth to their young. Unfortunately, certain members were Shiny Pokemon and exhibited unusual traits: physically or power-wise. I'm guessing it's one or more mutated strands of the Pokérus at play since I've seen similar results in my own Pokemon. Anyways, somehow, the poachers caught wind of the phenomenon and decided to move. But fortunately, I was in the area. With miraculous cooperation, I was able to defeat said group of poachers with minimal effort.
However, during the battle, they were purposely more destructive than usual in their attack commands and the Bug Family's home was destroyed. After they were restrained, the males of said family were still enraged - wanting revenge for what the poachers have done. Part of me wanted to stop them, but after considering how poachers tend to get off scot-free due to their "connections", and they generally don't feel remorse for their actions - only seeing rare and powerful Pokemon as a commodity, I reconsidered. The males had viciously mauled the poachers, and now part of me ALMOST feels bad for not stopping them. The decision still lingers in my mind.
AITA for allowing the males of the family to seek revenge? Should I have stopped them, even if it meant risking my own safety?
