Ahem. When you are enclosed in a mercantile mindset you either earn life or sell it or waste it or make a profit out of it. Winning is for losers, as it means you get rewarded for nothing, by chance, by the devil. And devil's money is volatile money. When you are not a member of a mercantile society, you know that you have a life when you live it. It doesn't need to be won.
