My limit for "inappropriate" are somewhat different from the common US cultural norms I think. And even for European standards quite high. Don't know about Brazil. The onle incident I remember from school was when an old teacher did applaud the German military for not being a decent tool for the Nazis. Actually they were though there were tensions due to different goals, not different stances.
