Don't you hate it when people can't read between the lines?

Reading between the lines needs much knowledge about the cultural and linguistic background of the language where those hidden lines are readable to those in the know. Plus the subtext is often determined by slang expressions that even native speakers might fail to understand. But yes, I also sometimes wonder when people fail to read between the lines when I think it's oh so obvious. But here we use English and many are not native to it.
