Football question: have you ever seen 18 minutes of second half extra time in a match with no major interruptions?

In my opinion football suffers a lot from constant interruptions. It isn't meant to be a violent sport but some make it so. They argue it is a manly fighting sport and you need to body check to push through. But that is the cause why it often is so full of interruptions that it turns out not to be a manly fighting sport but a lame and boring thing that creeps from sneaky attack to sneaky attack. Either make it a fighting sport and let them use their fists too or sentence violence by red cards constantly. I know there will be only a few remaining on the green afterwards, so that sounds impossible. So that is why football is a lame sport mostly that cannot decide if fighting is ok or if the rules are too lame to allow a good game without constant interruptions. When we mix some greedy money making into the mix .. well... that is why I do not watch it.
