On a scale from one to ten (1 being 'completely pointless', 10 being 'society would crumble without this role'), how essential would you say your job (or the job you are training to get) is?

From the POV of Mr and Mrs Smith I'd say it is a solid 2. :D From the POV of businesses it is a solid 8.
