Now that you have more experience making your visual novel, is there anything you wish you would have known or could have done differently at the start? (Advise to help people who are considering making their own?)

In my personal experience? Two things in particular.

1) Don't rush it out. I was excited, I'm an impulsive bastard. Your first build sets up A LOT of expectations, many won't give you a second try. Either finish your whole plot or get done most of it.

2) VNs can suck quite a lot of resources, try to reduce it as much as possible. The more you can do yourself without spending cash the better. Sprites, coding, writing are the 3 must have. Music can be royalty, BGs can be royalty, CGs are a bonus.
