I saw the Bloodfiend Hunter Dulcinea thing, and I though it would be hilarious if Dulcy was our Nelly/Yuri for Canto 7 with Don fawning over her because she’s a skilled fixer and Dulcy genuinely loving her enthusiasm and hope. Dulcinea then confides to the group that her family was killed by the Second Kindred and her brood when she was young and Don in a romantic gesture kneels down and says that she will slay those villians as the glorious knight of lady Dulcinea
Smash cut to Dante having a panic attack
Ooh, that could be fun. If Dulcinea is presenting herself as a honeytrap, trying to act in ways that she knows would draw Don Quixote into wanting to assist her as a 'helpless damsel' who would Obviously need her aid. And Dante feeling the creeping dread of keeping a secret and coming to understand just how much Faust has been carrying on her shoulders all this time.
But it could alternately be that they have an Alucard-Alexander Anderson type of dynamic and Dulcinea knows what Don is the whole time. And she's just laying in wait for the time when Don re-awakens and she gets to have her fated glorious battle like she wanted so badly.
