They can bring Sancho along too but fuck them other kids idk (he would never abandon his children but by the gods I want all of them to be alive and well)
If you want an "everything's good" middle ground I think you could go with them never having knocked down the castle and he's just out gallivanting with her and having those hybrid little creatures. (Which also wouldn't be wholly mythologically inaccurate since some versions of The Tale of Princess Bari" has the heroine having several children with a supernatural being.)
