Do you think it's a good idea to normalize moving out at age 18? (as is common in the US at least)

No. That’s odd to me. I don’t think it’s a one size fits all thing. I always feel badly for kids whose parents literally kick them out of the house on their eighteenth birthday or shortly thereafter. How could your child not feel unwanted and not think that you’d been planning and plotting to do this since the day they were born. Wouldn’t that make most of us feel like a burden? These kids always seem so resentful of their parents when they become older, as well. Just my onion 🧅, as a wise woman once said. 🤷🏻‍♀️
