Lines! I know that I've shared this with you before, but your perspective for Haru in From The Root was beautifully done. I love seeing the relationship dynamics between the entire group and how they all grew and changed in post-canon, how they view each other, etc. Is there a PT or confidant that you feel would be especially fun or interesting to do an introspective dive for again?
Ahh Bree you're so lovely, I'm happy you enjoyed the story, and the perspective between both of them. I find their potential so interesting, it was really fun to write.
I would really want to do something between Goro and Yusuke. I love writing them as good friends in AUs, but it would be extremely interesting to do something set either as a canon compliant AU or something post-canon for both of them. They have the potential to get on and understand each other so well, but also fundamentally clash.

heart against a feather was one of the first fics i read by you (also Akira the undercover stripper fic which i’m blanking on its name haha) but i think about HAAF from time to time and wanted to know if you have any akeshuake hcs for that post-fic? what are they up to now? how are they doing?
I am SO damn touched you still think about HAAF! A very small part of me wants to write a follow up, which would focus on Goro's feather-heart, and the potential magical repercussions of surviving a backfired curse. And perhaps a look at how Akira got the deck, and what it means that he can read it now.
I probably won't write these but they are fun to think about!

Do you have any headcanons about Goro’s mother?
I do! I think I shared one a while ago, but here are a few:
-I think they look very similar. He worries that he'll forget what she looks like, but can see parts of her in the mirror. Which is both painful and wonderful.
-I think she loved him for as long as she could with as much as she could. I don't think she ever made Goro feel undesirable; that came later from foster homes and his own interpretation of the past, rather than direct words or actions from his mother.
-she would sing him to sleep, and he can remember snatches of the melody, but not the song itself. He hums it on his own to soothe himself, the same notes over and over.
-she gave him a stuffed toy that he treasures. I go between either he lost it moving homes, pretending it didn't matter but it hurts like losing her again, or he still has it, but keeps it locked away. I've used both in different fics :)

I just wanted to give you a heads up, the person sending rudr messages to your retrospring is most likely a well-known person named gven who goes around and harasses people based on Akechi-centric content. they have a history of continuing this kind of behavior unless ignored. getting harassed by them is basically a right of passage in the shuake world. sorry you’re having to put up with this, your work is great and it’s not your job to cater to them specifically. thank you for sharing your works with us!

hello, ive recently started reading your bride price fanfic and i love it so much gdhhd the characterization you had on all the phantom thieves was so realistic and refreshing to read ^^
i only have one question: how do you "characterize" your characters / make them feel lively and realistic while still sticking close to canon? (eg: goro still being spiteful and hissy but having a soft spot that doesnt rub off as being moe or try-hard)

When I'm writing AUs, or even post game/future fics, I try to think of what I see as they core parts of the characters, then put that mould of them into a new situation. From there, they then grow into how I see them being in this universe, without them (hopefully) being too detached from canon, but still undeniably different.
It's trial and error in some ways, I often have to change their voices when writing if I think it's gone too far, and check in with friends and betas to make sure it still feels and sounds like them. The characters will always be a bit different in AUs, they don't have the same experiences that formed their canon personalities. But that's what I think is quite fun to explore.
