I couldn't help again but keep thinking that the horcruxes were underutilized as a concept. But then my random theorizing merged with Harrymort tropes and ARGH. Like, imagine if the horcruxes were not only immortality anchors but also magic boosters? Essentially, Tom/Voldie splits his soul and the horcrux is placed in a magically rich (and emotionally significant) location to absorb magic power and transmit through the soul sliver to the main soul. Except the fact that Harry's a walking, talking human changes the game. Harry can't quite absorb magic like the item horcruxes can, but through the scar and his magical core, he's practically a portable, renewable magical source. So when Voldie discovers this fact after the MoM possession, he gets some ideas -- it's two birds with one stone. Meanwhile, Harry doesn't understand why he feels more and more tired; all he wants to do is sleep, and it's better that he does with his magic being so volatile. Meanwhile Scarcrux is working hard to make some sweet dreams to keep Harry docile, asleep, and both out of Dumbledore's plans and vulnerable for kidnapping.

I'm gonna write this one day. Maybe. Or maybe it'll be like that Spongebob screencap of the illuminated word "The" on a blank page of paper. But I needed to share this with someone! OTL

This is so beautiful and so horrifying. I usually don't want Harry separated from his horcrux but DAYUM I need him safe. I would want him to fight back here.
