I know writing samples have to be submitted as docs to avoid bias, is it alright if the pieces have already been uploaded to ao3 though?
Absolutely! If you're proud of the donuts you've already baked and shared, we want a taste too!
We anticipate that most applicants with supply samples of pre-published works. It is always possible that a mod will recognize your writing. In that case, a mod may abstain from voting if they feel their opinion would be in any way biased toward an applicant.
