What are some p4 protagonist headcanons you have?

P4 Protag HC?!? 🥰 my favorite boyy. He's such a saint isn't he. World would be better place to live in if we have more ppl like him.

For starter. I have 2 kinds of interpretations for P4 protag. Yu Narukami (the charming, goofy, and confident) and Souji Seta (the more reserved, undeterred, and traumatized).

So my Yu Narukami is still a victim to neglectful parents, and hence loneliness has always been his biggest fear. He started faking everything as coping mechanism. His smile, his 'I'm ok' facade, his confidence. You know the saying Fake it till you make it? It has been how Yu living his life. At first he thought he'll be like that forever and already comes to term with it. But when he set his feet in Inaba, his life really gradually changes for the better. Gradually he moves on from faking it to trully make it. He started to create genuine bonds, and realize that true bonds overcome even distance barrier. He's also an overworker, a bit of people pleaser, and has silver tongue shshsh!! Well he's charming like that. Trully what has make him grow were the bonds he realized and made in Inaba, and without all of those, he'll lose guidance in life once again. Also Nanako is the sibling he never had, that's why he loves her so much and it hurts him to see Dojima do what his parents did to him to Nanako :((. I always love scenes where Yu snapped whenever Dojima was being a shitty father. Yu doesn't hate him, neither does Nanako, Yu just believes that Dojima could've done so much better for his only daughter. Especially since Nanako's mom has passed away.

As for Souji Seta, same like Yu he's also a victim to neglectful parents. But unlike Yu, Souji has a hard time expressing his feelings even if he has to fake it. So he has been the quiet kind of guy (I'd like to think he develop somekind of communication issue). His high sense of self awareness has made him adapt to various circumstances, to the point that he easily could see other's people emotion, especially the hidden one. His approach in life has been really careful. He's just an emotionally stunted boy :((. Thus experience in Inaba has been really liberating for him. In his friends, he develop a sense of self where he is accepted just the way he is. He slowly comes out of his shell and progressively becomes more understanding and confident as time goes. He's the good listener kind of friends and that's why people find it easy to confide to him. And since he's a bit more low profile than Yu, ppl would feel less intimidated by him. I'd also like to think that Souji Seta would have a hard time trying to understand Adachi, especially since Souji would be the type to quick on getting attached, Souji would immediately get attached to the ppl he has create bonds with. Especially Nanako, and since Adachi was involved in the incident regarding Nanako, Souji can't help but feel angry about it. Though, once he learnt about Adachi's true self, he will be able to symphatize with Adachi.

As for an extra note, I see Yu Narukami has a bit of saviour complex, but leaning more to White Knight syndrome (He adopt Adachi as his Damsel in Distress lmao!!). Hence why Yu Narukami is a bit more in the unhinged side, and able to access the Accomplice end. Souji Seta doesn't have that kind of courage to betray his friends, after all that time he went through to find them and build the bonds with his own hands.
