Hello, it's me again. If I can be a bit informal for a second, how many heads would explode among your peers and supervisors if I showed up in orbit in a five mile long Torchbearer class megatransport?
To make things easier, if I did show up, I would reach out respond to communication requests. Cargo would be food, medicine, and worker androids. Any idea what response I might expect?
Frankly, none. It may come as a surprise for you but a typical airport on Earth only controls the airspace of about 20 to 50 miles of radius at most depending on the size of the airport. If you show up with that in our orbit most likely the news wouldn’t come to us before several heads of the federal government explodes first.
And yes, it will freak a LOT of people out (which thankfully I won’t be one of them if I know it’s you), thinking it’s Independence Day or some shenanigans. I don’t know what those I voted for would do, but if you were to be allowed to land it’s gonna be literally the middle of nowhere because trust me, no airport on Earth can fit that thing, even Denver.
