Hi there! I'm so so sorry if this might appear rude, but I was wondering if you got the okay from minchanfest mods about this event, since it's happening around the same time. I know that y**linski is the mod and they're really chill generally, but usually they announce joint events. I want to make sure before I participate, because it feels weird there's two events happening at once and no mention of this from minchanfest 😭 SORRY IF THIS IS RUDE!
Hi, so we’re not sure why we need to get their permission to host an event? We’re not connected to the MnChn fest account and there are actually several MnChn event accounts, so it seems a bit odd that you think we need to get permission from one specific account.
Not to mention, there really isn’t much overlap in the events. Our reveals for the Wedding Week event are happening next week. Reveals for MnChn fest are being held in October.
So if you’re looking to participate in our event, it’ll be as a reader as claiming is closed and the only submissions left are for our participants who asked for an extension.
Also to be completely transparent, all the MnChn event accounts are very much aware of each other. So the MnChn fest mods/account do not need to “approve” all MnChn events seeing as how we’re independent of each other. This isn’t the first event @minchanwriters has held and it won’t be the last.
